Finally, after much procrastination, my most awaited blog (by me the only one); my blog is up and on air. Finding the best title that I can ever put to set this whole thing up is a headache. My blog in short "My P.L.S" is meant for both sharing and discovery learning with everyone in the world who view and are interested in my StOrIeS. Would sincerely appreciate anyone who wish to key down any comments, ideas, feelings or whatever at the end of each "My P.L.S" master piece....

Nothing Last Forever.....
Things changes so fast as we grew, nothing last forever. Things happen and dissapeared. People come and go. Medals won and kept. Friends found and kept but sometimes lost. Nothing would last forever at the end of the day.
It is how much we cheerish the current moments would enable us to have more fond and happy memories to be kept aside as we grew older. While we are so buzy thinking of accumulating more and more thing in life. There are also things which we have left behind while we are so engross in climbing up the ladder. Sometimes, we forget and left those things behind us.
How many of us would have memories where we hope it could be played llike a movie on our TV. The are moments when we are so tired and just to hope for some relax moment. A moment of truth by looking back what we have been through to being us to where we are. Also to realised who to thank, what helped us and what challenges we've been through to reached here now. It would be best if it could be played in a movie.
Food for thought of the day:
Find some time to sit down all alone and reflect what has happened for the past one year or few years. Think about what has happened and what brought us where we are now. Do this at least once a year. This could help us in finding our path along the way towards our goals in life.
Found some feel in writing this blog after watching a Hong Kong movie "Echoes Of The Rainbow". Great movie being seen from a child's perpective and things been through in his life as a child.

The Fine Line : Reality & Fact
Humans are such a cute creature where we always feel we have not got enough of what we have. When you said you have enough, there are someone out there who would tell you "why would you limit yourself to only what you have, you should strike more". Come to think about it, isn't the sentence true? Another person will come up and say "You are not grateful to what you have by always complaining not having enough and want more". Once again, isn't this sentence make sense as well.
However, there is always this fine line that most of us would not see. Some may knew bout it but choose to ignore it. Not limiting our own self in achieving more and not complaining what we lack of is in between a fine line. The line is called, REALITY and FACT. No matter how much and how loud we would want to complain, nothing would happen if no action is being taken. This is a fact. At the same time, we also knew that, if we keep on limit ourselves in telling we cant achieve this and that, it is guaranteed that we are not going to achieve anything at all. The reality is anything is achieveable if we persist until the last drop of our energy.
Our challenge is always not being able to differentiate this fine line. To work this out, differentiation between "Controlable" and "Uncontrolable" is highly important. We have to always want to strike to achieve as much as we can using all the resources and items that we have a control of. At the same time, stop complaining on all things we lack of as this would be items we are unable to control.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
1. Close our eyes and heart on items that we can not change. Hence, we always appreciate all things we have at the current moment. (Eg: I cant be rich because my parents are not rich and not educated)
2. Open up our wisdom and heart for all items that we could change. This would enable us to push ourselves to another level for greater success. (Eg: I can earn as much as I want even though I am not from a rich family background.)
3. When confuse or unsure, take a pen and pull a a piece of white paper. Divide it into two side and write down our challenge in the top middle. Next, write down all things that we could control on the left hand side and all things uncontrolable on the right hand side.
4. Read and compare. Voila, you would be able to find the most suitable solution to you at that point of time.

It's Always Easy To Point Finger At Others
Some how these are very common things we would hear from people around us. It is always easier to point fingers at others whenever problems kick in. Whether what has been claimed is true or not, that does not matter. Most of the time it's all about who said it first, who said it loudest, who re-told the story that make more logical sense, and who have more people to pity for. Our daily lives are revolve around onto this small yet important matters.
Pointing without investigating or even asking is a very dangerous move. Even an investigation with a certain impression in mind would not help any much either. How many times have we raise our anger and just point our fingers onto someone when something happened, to only find out we have blame the wrong person?
Sometimes a sorry will delete off the memory, but some the scar will be there forever no matter how many sorry we said. At times, it may not be scar, but an impact so great that could affect the rest of the life of a person. All these are so subtle that no one would know whats going to happen in the future.
Sometime ago I heard from a radio station, "Allow someone who is in a hurry to pass by while on the road, because you never know the person maybe in a hurry to get his wife to the hospital as a new born is knocking on the womb for freedom". Most often we would just curse in our car while we are driving when we come across this situation and asking why are they moving so fast for. This could be different if we could be seeing things from another point of view.
Food for thought of the day: "Whatever comes up, take a deep breath and count to from 1 - 10. Calm down and relax ourselves. Then, see things from another point of view and try to resolve the current situation rather than to point fingers. Find out where went wrong and ensure no one would repeat it again. Hence, voila, a new knowledge would be learnt by everyone in the situation. "

Long Absent.... But More Focus....
1. Year 2010 Resolution - I still have it in my book, just that it is not publish. Guess it's time to relook again on what I have jot down since the first half of the year is soon to be over.
2. Places & Food - Been to quite another few places while at work. Have not got a chance to take photos of those and put it up here....
Well not too much that I have missed though.
Something just strike my mind today after my CFP exam paper this evening when I am back home. While exam is over, it seems as though there's another thing in my life that has gone missing. Although there would be another module to go, however that would be something for the month of December 2010 to think about. Anyhow, this is going to end at the end of the day.
Shoulders seems always lighter everytime when a tack is complete. However, while there one task complete, sometimes we would be thinking what's next. This would not be the case, if we would know what else that we should look out for after one task is completed.
We always wanted so many things in our life, however we fail to realise that we must be able to have our next plan ready before our current task complete. Hence, our path would be full of colors and activities without having a vacum left unfilled. Realising that this would be the fact of life, I have start up something that I have been thinking for long time.
With a small little note pad, I will jot down all the small things that I want to do. This would enable me to stay focus on things that paint my life with more colours. Besides, it serves as a reminder for me to do things that I need. I have started this for my work, but never for my personal to do list items. Now it is up. Yeah!!!!
If any of you who are reading this, start one of yours now. Make sure there's always two different set; one for work and one for personal. It is always good to different work with our personal items.
"Think is good, start doing it is GREAT!!! "

An Organization That Motivates or Maybe Not
So many years being part of these Non Government Organization uniform body in Malaysia, it is indeed an experience full with ups and down. What motivates me to moved on from time to time are genuine people I meet throughout the years. Be it my superior, peers or even my members. All of whom I regarded as FRIENDS. Whatever I have received during my juniors years, I have reciprocate back to all those my juniors now too. Those include some motivation and help I have received along the way.
Well where ever there are people, there would be someone would like to used their power to press on some junior people. This happened to be someone who is the head of the state. I have always been on the neutral side until recently that I needed to put this feelings and thought of mine here on my blog.
"There was a ceremony that gives out a five (5) years service medal to all qualified. Obviously I am one of the recipient. However, due to work commitment, I could not attend the the ceremony and received it on my own. Hence, I went and asked whether I could have it since I was absent. The answer is no and I have to wait for the next ceremony. While I do understand that, but could not stop some questions on my mind:-
1. I knew of someone who managed to get from him. So what she can and I cant?
2. Reason given for not giving it to me now as to give me a lesson for not attending the ceremony. If that's the reason, then I would find the leader who never put himself in someone else shoes.
The fact that this was a NGO and I knew I have sacrificed alot of my time and money to build those members under me and also helping the organization in a way or another. I don't see why these should served as a lesson fr nt attending the ceremony if I have more important things to do, such as something that will give me income for me to live on. A simple thing that could be done to motivate a person to work more for teh organization will be dampen by just a simple medal.
By the way, I am not a person who eyed for medals and rewards. I knew that I have spent more time and money as compare to what I have gt so far. I am very happy and grateful with what I have now and the opportunities given to me. The only thing that I think the organization or maybe this leader lack of is the sense of motivating others.
A medal that cost RM50 (paid by one of my sponsor) will just be idle in his room and not knowing when would be the next ceremony and whether it would be given to me by then.
With such a simple ways to be grateful towards the members that have served for such a long time, the only motivation is "you can have it as to give you a lesson and wait for the next ceremony".
When that time comes, I think I'm getting my 10 years service medal. What a motivation from a big NGO............

Non Halal - Pork Feast
This Chinese New Year, with another six friends of mine, we gathered and stormed into Elcerdo for another feast. This time around is so much more expensive compare to last round. However, it is worth it. Let me introduce all the food I had that night.....
We have the menus on the table and ended up not sure what to asked for. hence we get the professional to recommend to us what's good. The menu is cute with the piggy pictures on it. Coming up first would be the cup of pork soup. It tasted nice to start off the dinner.
Yeah we did and had the chinese must have food during Chinese New Year - Yee Sang. Opps, I think we have just changed the name to Pork Sang. Yes!, those that is around the plate is not salmon but pork meat. It tasted real good, trust me - for those who eats pork la. Then we have the sausages.
From a glance, it looks like a normal "Siu Yuk" (roasted pork). As commented by my friends and I, this is the first time we eat roasted pork with fork and knife. Of course there are some vegetables and cranberries under that slice of pork. The half pigglet is said to be marinated for two (2) days with, errmm... either White or Red wine (forgotten). The skin is so crispy that you can actually cut it with a plate. This simple ceremony of cutting the small little pig is done by my friend with the help of the people there. To end the ceremony, the plate that was used for cutting has to be broken into a big wooden pail for good luck. It is nice.
Coming up next to end the pork feast are the ribs as well as the knuckles. By this time, I am full and was worry whether those pigs will haunt us in our dreams for that night. Hahaha.....
As usual, at times the meal would not be complete with a dessert towards the end. So all of us have one each of the warm chocolate cake with creamy chocolate in it. Also a Vanilla ice cream at the side. This is heaven and apparently it is even better than the Mudpie in TGIF.
By this time, our stomaches are so full that I could not resist to have a cup of green tea. Hopefully it will at least help a lil in my digestion. That cup of green tea cost me RM8.00 apparently. "Bill please", that was what we called for. It comes to a whopping RM1,058.60. I guess it was the most expensive one single dinner I ever had. Putting it equally among 7 of us, it comes to abut RM150.00 per person.
It's an expensive experience.... but it does worth it and the food is really good. However, this kinda restaurant is for special occasions. Else it will really burn your wallet. For those who enjoy pork like myself, Elcerdo is worth a try (at least once in a life time).

Closing Chapter
As for me, I choose to have my experience in 2008 crafted here with words. So that I would not bring forward all those challenges and problems this year to the coming PROMISING year 2009.
Year 2008 is a remarkable year not only for myself but also to the world as a whole. So many news and issues happened. Most of it are big stuff and I'm sure all would know. Leading the way is our General Election whereby BN had lost their 2/3 majority in the Parliament. This is a big story accross the nation. Hence, this leads to some political issues for some time back then. While this is going on, we have the US subprime issue that happened to be a ultimate time bomb that have everyone in the world affected no matter how big or small. Lehman Brothers from US that has been around for many years file for bankruptcy. With this, flowing in are other big companies and banks who spell for trouble. Everyone is so worried on what would happen to the financial market in the coming few months or years. It is what they called now a confidence crisis.
On top of those, we have the crude oil price shoot to an all time high of almost USD150 per barrel. Well that affect us in Malaysia tremendously when the government decided to push up the petrol price to a record high of RM2.70 per litre. At that time, to have a full tank will cost me almost RM100.00. Luckily the petrol price has drop to RM1.80 per litre now. That was a real relieve. With this, we also see all the food price gone up and the following effect to it would be inflation that shoot up as high as 8 over percent. That's only the BNM announced figure, what about our individual inflation figure????
As for my own individual experience for year 2008 would be a colourful encounter. There's so many things happened and some are totally opposite from the others. January to early March I would be wearing a t shirt and jeans or maybe a short pants to work. Now - I am wearing a smart executive attire finishing with a tie to work. I used to work in outdoor like jungle or maybe running around in KL City for a training program. Now - my training are all under the roof with aircondition. Be it shine or rain, I am spared from it all. Carrying large object like planks and crates are part of my work, now the heaviest object I would need to carry for training is a laptop.
I've also gone through a tough time where I do not have a secure job in hand as I resigned before I could manage to get another job. Experienced of not getting my two (2) months salary (still not getting it till now) and have to find ways to survive. Part time, short time and whatever time you called it, as long as it could make money and not breaking the laws, I'm into it. Gone through tough time where arguements are everywhere around.
Anyway all this lead to positive things in my life. It makes me stronger and be more resourceful in anything that I want to achive. Some says, its only where you are being put at the edge, only you would be thinking out of the box and find solutions. I mean as many solutions and as fast as you can. That lifted my life to another level in me. Due to that as well, I landed myself into something that I enjoyed alot more. More in terms of knowledge, skills, people and appearance.
There's too many things happened in Year 2008. All in all, it's a beautiful experience. One of my friend once told me, "Every negative encounter happened for a positive reason". Its black and white, Ying and Yang, Male and Female and etc. All is in a pair; so if you were to have a down moment, fear not as the happy side will soon come into picture to pair it up.
" Fear not, everything are destined to be in pair; the happy and the sad"

Tawau Encounter ...
Clueless bout what's there, anything nice to eat and all. Hence my preparation for Tawau is zero. Soon I was on my way to a place I have no idea how is it like. I need to change my flight in Kota Kinabalu in order for me to get to my destination. Upon reaching KK Airport I went straight to the boarding area for my next flight. Knowing later when I was flying back that I have to actually bypass the custom. That freaks me out when I was flying back on Saturday morning. Thinking what would I be going through and would I be able to get back to KL on time since I did not register in to Sabah on Tuesday with the custom. Luckily, I was save meeting a helpful cutom officer.
1. Nasi Goreng special with Milo Ice : My first meal in Sabah and that was a lunch at bout 4pm. This plate of rice enable me to hold on my stomach up to night. Hence, I ended up having bread and my first night in Tawau.
2. Thai style Chicken Rice : This was my lunch on the 1st training day. Well at first glance it is nothing special as its just any other chicken rice I could have in KL. When it comes, the chicken is with some Thai sauce on top. The rice is bl**dy nice. Its soft and taste good! The agent in Tawau told me, their Thai style chicken rice sold out very fast.
3. Crab & Mantis Prawn : This was my dinner. Well having meals alone could be very boring. That was how I felt to while waiting for my food to come. However, that mindset changed as I was enjoying my seafood dinner that night. The crab and the prawn is so fresh that I've forgotten that I am eating by myself. Hehehehe... Opps... this is one of the very famous seafood stall in Tawau.
4. Salad Prawn Rice & Fried Vege : Had a simple dinner the next day. Had this in one of the nice chinese eating outlet
5. Seafood Steamboat : Had a crazy and wonderful seafood steamboat dinner with the agents and the colleague in Tawau.
Apart from all this fod in Tawau, the branch should also be commented on the delicious tea break they offered. One of the best tea break so far that I have encounter in the branches. These has prevented me from going out for lunch for 2 days. Guess I have put on weight in that 5 days......

Ex-Sibu Trip ...
To me, I would put it as a nice place, nice food and nice people. Well besides working for three (3) days straight and throwing my voice around, I had my fair share of food after work everyday. Thanks to all the colleagues in Sibu. What I had?? mmmm...... these are those that I had.....
From Top to Bottom....
Kampua Mee: The first local food I had when I reached there on the first day. It's like the Kolo Mee in Kuching or Wantan Mee in KL. But it taste good. Had another one 2 days later with what they call Fried Kampua Mee. It taste great...
Another local food (forgotten the name) : Well its like a bread with minced pork meat inside. Well I would said it something like the CharSiew Pau we had it here, just that the bread portion is slightly different. Nice ......Yum Yum....
Tom Yum Mee in Cafe Cafe, Sibu: Well just another tomyum mee we could have in anywhere. But then again, look at the size of the bowl again.... Its huge..... Three of us went and we got ourselves one bowl each. When we finish everything (one didn't manage to finish it), we saw three (3) guys ordered one bowl of this tomyum mee and shared among them. Mmmmm..... they are either smart or we are big eater... hehehehhe
Fried Mushroom & Chicken Butt: Its my dinner with colleagues and another agent. Well, this is only a quarter of the food we had that night. When it all come, I was eating all the way and full to the maximum at the end.
Working else where in Malaysia is suppose to be much more tiring and eating lesser. However, this trip has made me gain a few kg I guess (I hope it didn't). I almost could not sleep because my stomach is so full with food!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sibu......... that's where I have been for this month (October 2008). Next will be Alor Setar......
